Last week CBSE made an announcement where they said that CBSE is planning to conduct the examinations amidst this pandemic. Dates remain uncertain as the situation in the country is getting worse every single day.
It’s been a month since CBSE declared their results but yet they have not made any announcement about the compartment exams. Students are depressed as they have no idea what’s happening next.
Here are a few reasons why CBSE should consider cancelling the compartment exam
- The aim of these compartment exams is to save the precious academic year of the students, If CBSE delays it further then students will face trouble getting admissions as most of the Schools & Universities are ending admissions in August itself.
- CBSE is discriminating compartment students by misleading them. They say cancelling the exams will affect the future of the students but had no objection while cancelling the main exams & awarded free marks to the students who did not even appear any examination.
- The situation of the country is getting worse. Government is not able to handle the situation. Conducting examinations will lead to social gathering which will increase the number of cases and add stress.
- This year due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Evaluation was done differently, Teachers received the answer sheets at their homes. Since copies were only checked once there are chances that students might not have received marks properly.

MDD & LOSS OF CONCENTRATION
Major depressive disorder (MDD) can make it difficult for you to focus on daily tasks. Pandemic isn’t fun, We hear depressing news on regular. Students are in depression since months. There are questions that remain unanswered by CBSE about the admission, Exam dates and a lot more.
Moreover facilities like coaching centers are closed. How can a board like CBSE expect students to study properly amidst this situation. It’s like adding more stress to a situation which is already bad.
MORE ABOUT WHY THESE EXAMINATIONS SHOULD BE CANCELLED
CBSE also says that cancelling these exams is against the laws of the CBSE. But the question that arises is that if this is violation of laws then how did they cancel the main exams at the first place?
In India state boards are also similar to CBSE, Bihar board, Maharastra board & more state boards have already cancelled their compartment exams. CBSE can cancel as well, some believe that it’s just a strategy to charge students and enjoying profit.
PIL IN SUPREME COURT? CANCELLATION OF COMPARTMENT EXAMS?
AISA ( All India Students Association) is now supporting students who have been placed in compartment stage. Sandeep Saurav National General Secretary OF AISA helped students to file a PIL in the supreme court. It has been successfully filed and now students are requesting honorable supreme court to decide on this matter.
Another PIL has been filed by Mr.Shakti Pandey who has been supporting the students since the very beginning.
Apart from AISA. Shivam Kumar is also raising his voice through his tweets & YouTube Channel against the partiality & discrimination which CBSE has been doing.
